Raising Grass Finished Beef

Not for the inexperienced

     The mistake made by most non-cattlemen is grass fed means grass finished. The fact is almost all beef-type cattle are grass fed for most of their lives. The difference is in the last 150-18o days. This is nor true of most Holstein beef. The majority of Holstein cattle raised for beef are fed grain very early in their life often starting as early as 200 lbs. 

     If you are marketing grass finished be honest and advertise them as grass finished.
